• The River Centre concept retains some existing staff, such as facilities management, rolling the wealth of knowledge into the new incarnation of the building.
• The concept creates meaningful employment opportunities for local students and young people. By offering roles beyond traditional hospitality pathways, we help broaden career horizons and support the development of valuable skills.
• Provides both a leisure and business management apprenticeship and a culinary apprenticeship, giving young people structured, practical routes into long‑term careers.
• Through our River Runners initiative, offer young people aged 11–16 the chance to gain hands-on work experience and earn leisure centre session credits. This helps inspire confidence, builds responsibility, and strengthens their connection to the local community.
